After 14 years on the network, BET's top music/variety show “106 & Park” will air its final televised show this December.
BET President Stephen Hill said in a media statement yesterday Nov. 14th that 106 and Park will air its last episode December 19, 2014, and that the show would become "digital only."
"It’s been a great 14-year run as America’s top music/variety show on cable. And now that very valuable brand is going to take its talents to the digital realm. The interactive brand you helped build, '106 & Park,’ is alive and well and it’s moving to the space in which our audience now interacts with music the most: online.” Hill said
The show is currently being hosted by Bow Wow and Keshia Chante.
The family of first civilian Governor of old Anambra State, businessman and politician, Chief Jim Nwobodo has been thrown into mourning as his first son, Dr Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo Jnr died last night November 14th at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu after a brief illness.
Dr Nwobodo Jnr was a medical doctor, who graduated from University of Benin over 20 years ago. He was one-time Commissioner for Youths and Sport Development in Enugu during the tenure of Governor Chimaroke Nnamani.
He was married to Lois Onyi Chukwu Nwobodo. May his soul rest in peace...Amen.
74 bodies of South African nationals who died in theSeptember 12th Synagogue building collapse, have been released to the South African government and will be flown to South Africa this night.
The bodies which were retrieved from the General Hospital, Yaba and the Isolo General Hospital, were placed in mobile mortuaries pictured above. They will depart Nigeria via 2 chartered airplanes at exactly 11.50pm. Upon their arrival in South Africa, the corpses will be handed to families of the victims for proper burial. May their souls rest in peace...amen.

Nigerian couple Lizzy Idahosa, 24 and Jackson Omoruyi, 41, have been sentenced to prison in the UK. Lizzy got 8 years behind bars for sex trafficking and Jackson got 2 years for money laundering.
The mother of one, who is currently heavily pregnant with Jackson's second baby, was found guilty of trafficking women to and around the UK as well as inciting prostitution and money laundering.
Her partner Jackson, charged £50,000 for travel from Nigeria and false documents from the ladies they brought and made them work in brothels where they had sex with 7 or 8 men a day to pay their debts.
Their victims said that before traveling to London on the promise of a better life, they had been subjected to 'juju' rituals in which they ate snails and snakes, had their hair shaved, drank dirty water and were cut with a razor. They were also threatened with illness, madness, infertility and death if they ever spoke up.

A Botswana gay and lesbian group, LEGABIBO, (short for Lesbians, Gays &Bisexuals of Botswana) has won a landmark legal case in the Botswana High Court and they can now be officially registered as a group.
The judge Terrence Rannowane, who ruled, said that the refusal of the government to register the group was unconstitutional. In his verdict, he declared "It is also not a crime to be a homosexual." The verdict was passed today, November 14.

According to a report on Tribune, Benue state Governor Gabriel Suswam and his deputy, Steven Lawani, were involved in a ghastly road accident yesterday Friday November 14th.
The accident occurred at Angbaaye, near Makurdi, after another vehicle lost control, somersaulted and hit 2 vehicles in the Governor's convoy. Fortunately no one died but 8 people were injured. The governor and his deputy who were in the same vehicle and were on their way to flag off a road project in Wannune, Tarka LGA and Gboko were uninjured.
The 8 people who were injured, mostly from the car that hit the governor's convoy were rushed to the hospital in Makurdi. The governor is reported to have helped in the rescue mission.

Nurse Nina Pham, the first person to contract Ebola in the US met with president Obama at The White this afternoon where she received a hug from him.
Nina, who contracted Ebola while treating Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan at the Emory University hospital in Texas, is now free from the virus after being successfully treated at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda. The second health care worker to test positive for Ebola in Dallas traveled by air the day before presenting symptoms and being isolated, the CDC announced Wednesday.
Health officials identified the health care worker as Amber Vinson.
CDC Director Tom Frieden said Wednesday the worker is currently in the process of being transferred to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, which has previously successfully treated two American Ebola patients without the disease spreading further. It is not clear yet when exactly that transfer will happen.
The revelation has raised alarm about further spread of the disease, which is transmitted through body fluids such as blood and saliva after the victim starts showing symptoms.
In response to the latest Ebola case, the White House announced Tuesday that President Obama is calling off a planned trip to New Jersey and Connecticut and instead will convene Cabinet officials coordinating the government's Ebola response.
The CDC said it is attempting to track down all 132 passengers aboard the plane the health care worker took because of "the proximity in time between the evening flight and first report of illness. Officials identified the flight taken by the worker as Frontier Airlines flight 1143 from Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth on October 13. They said anyone aboard the plane should call 1 800-CDC INFO (1 800 232-4636) immediately.
Vinson exhibited no signs or symptoms of illness while on flight 1143, according to the crew.
On Wednesday, Mayor Frank Jackson said there were currently no known Ebola cases in Cleveland. However, Cleveland health officials activated an emergency command center for Ebola "situation awareness."
In a statement, Frontier Airlines said they "will continue to work closely with CDC and other governmental agencies to ensure proper protocols and procedures are being followed." The airline also said the plane has been thoroughly cleaned and was removed from service following CDC notification early Wednesday morning.
However, according to Flighttracker, the plane was used for five additional flights on Tuesday before it was removed from service. Those flights include a return flight to Cleveland, Cleveland to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), FLL to Cleveland, Cleveland to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), and ATL to Cleveland.
